Julia Roberts - still got it. One of the handful of celebrities who are on the dream list of interviews, apart from Emma Thompson, Meryl Streep. Accomplished women with good chat. 

There have been some cover story interviews that have been like... pulling teeth. Monosyllabic answers that go nowhere. For a magazine cover feature, after a particularly painful interview, I ended up just writing about how the shoot went and what happened that day as the star had nothing to say... 

It's not all wine and roses when it comes to celebrity journalism.

 So I interviewed the poet when she was in Hong Kong years ago - Rita Dove. Her talk in HKU was mesmerising, and I had the privilege of a one on one conversation with her. She was so brilliant - to top it all, such a good laugh. Wit is high intelligence, having fun...

Easily a top five interview; Rishi Kapoor was, above all, a great raconteur which made him every journalist's delight. 

RIP Rishi Kapoor. You were the best.
