The 7 Most Luxurious Presidential Suites in Hong Kong

Regent Hong Kong

Among 300-plus hotels in the city, these properties show us what suite dreams are made of.

As of 2023, the total number of hotels in Hong Kong hovers around the 300 mark. In a classic Darwinian case of only the fittest survive, all the bold-type hotels recognised globally are studded in Hong Kong: Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, The Peninsula, Rosewood, Hyatt, Mandarin Oriental, and so on all have footholds in the city, some within sight of each other, and others so close that they share the same address. From landmarks brimming with historical legacy to new and refurbished hotels that speak to modern sensibilities, there is no lack of options to choose from, but for absolute luxury, impeccable service, stellar wining and dining, and security, secrecy, and privacy fit for heads of state, royalty, and VVIPs, only the best presidential suites in Hong Kong will do. Here are some of my favourites, only at Robb Report Hong Kong.

First Look: Qura Bar at Regent Hong Kong, Where You Can Enjoy Rare Spirits and Sophisticated Bistronomy

Old-world charms, opulence, and a can-do spirit, with a fine wine and whisky selection.

Regent Hong Kong has been our go-to spot in the city since we launched Robb Report Hong Kong and the hotel even lifted the veil long before it officially opened to the public to host the Robb Report Hong Kong inaugural gala dinner in its grand ballroom. Since then, we have been hooked on the promises that the hotel has delivered on every turn.

Like a slow reveal, from the lavish new Presidential Suite, a taste of the excellent cuisine at its various restaurants, a return of a culinary legend, or a first look and tasting at Qura Bar, every few months, the curtains part on one new magical experience after another.

Finest Blend: How illy Has Cultivated Coffee Into an Art Form

An exquisite flavour palate, quality sourcing, and historical finesse—are we talking fine wine or curated coffee?

It’s hard to pinpoint when artisanal coffee and boutique blends came in vogue, beyond the popular vernacular thrown about by baristas the world over. We’ve now read so much about the sourcing and planting of the hitherto humble bean; somehow, the way sommeliers expound on vine and terroir has trickled into the morning java. But even among those fine blends, an illy is no average cuppa joe.

Interview with Chopard's Caroline Scheufele. On video

In the latest edition of Leaders of Luxury, I had the rare opportunity to speak with Caroline Scheufele, who needs little introduction among the glitterati. As the artistic director and co-president of Chopard, Scheufele juggles her double role with elegant ease, creating some of the most beautiful jewellery in the world and heading a global business empire with her family. During her visit to Hong Kong to unveil the newest Chopard store with some of Asia’s brightest stars, Scheufele reveals what luxury means to her, how she got the elusive Julia Roberts to star in a campaign, and which jewellery pieces she never, ever takes off.

The Park Lane Hong Kong Presents a New Farm-to-Table Experience With Thierry Drapeau

In honour of the hotel’s 50th anniversary, the French chef presents a stellar menu at Skye.

It’s a landmark year for The Park Lane Hong Kong, a Pullman Hotel. Facing Victoria Park on one side and Victoria Harbour on the other, this well-established city hotel has stood the test of time, reaching its fifth decade, and many celebrations are in the offing to mark its golden year; at top of our list was a dining experience that was written in the (Michelin) stars.

From the rooftop at Skye, The Park Lane Hong Kong’s signature restaurant and rooftop bar, the views are second to none. Come for the panoramas, but do stay for dinner, especially this season, as the new menu has the rustic charm of unpretentious French and floral cuisine.

Louis Vuitton Will Present Its Voyager Show in Shanghai This April

After a well-documented menswear show in Hong Kong in late 2023, Louis Vuitton is setting sail to another fashion capital for its women’s pre-autumn show.

Louis Vuitton announced over the holidays that its women’s pre-autumn 2024 collection will be revealed on 18 April 2024 at the Long Museum West Bund in Shanghai, China. As expected, the frenzy for nearby hotel bookings, travel visa applications, gilded VIP invites, and coveted guest lists are in the works for what promises to be the event of the fashion year.

Who is attending? Which top models will grace the long catwalk? How many Asian models will land the gig? And which stars of the firmament will descend upon Shanghai to witness Louis Vuitton’s Voyager Show? LVMH remains tight-lipped on the details as the shuffleboard of invitees is a still-in-the-works progress guarded by the sentinels of style.

Lunar New Year 2024: 7 Menswear & Accessories Collections Celebrating the Dragon Motif

From the subtle and sublime to the obvious and the artistic, menswear is rocking a dragon imprint this season.

Embedding the dragon motif into menswear is not a new concept but doing it well in contemporary design is something else entirely—cue flashbacks to Ed Hardy denims from the 2000s that skewered the psychedelic dragon print as it was slapped on the seams and posterior of jeans and denim jackets. Fast-forward to 2024 and, courtesy of stylish edits and cleaner aesthetics, and the designs tell a different kind of mystical tail. The Year of the Wood Dragon cometh, and it’s setting fashion ablaze. Here are some of our favourite Lunar New Year pieces celebrating the dragon.
