When I first met Helen Ma - she was heading this beauty empire and was so intimidating and she was in the press allllllllllll the time. We have worked several times together - done a cover shoot and interview. In fact, done several shoots over the years. Just a gorgeous person inside and out.
Throwback to this shoot with Helen at Ralph Lauren. Good times. That kick-ass body - only she could slip into the dangerous curves, cut and silhouette of that killer red dress.

Rest in Peace Lili Luo
When we were working on 40 under 40, Lili went out of her way to ensure that the team was taken care of and sent out her staff to collect food and coffee from Starbucks. She had everything hand delivered to the studio while we were taking portraits and she changed outfits. She made sure everyone, from makeup artist to photographer's assistant, the entire team was taken care of. Photographer Dino Busch and I were amazed by her generosity and she had long left the studio by the time we realised what she had done.
To see the news in the paper of her untimely death at the age of 34... Thankfully what sticks to memory is her laugh and expedience and kindness...
RIP Lili Luo. Our entire team has been thinking of you and keeping your name in our prayers this week.

Have interviewed and art directed a few shoots with Edwin Chuang. A true gent in Hong Kong.
He did this wonderful charity run and raised some serious cash for a worthy cause. He's also rescued and housed many dogs and saved many animals - just one of the kindest men. Ever.

Original Spin: Hong Kong Society and a handful models hit XYZ
I adore Belinda Koo - and she loves to spin.
I do not love to spin - but most models and socialites spin often at XYZ in Hong Kong; its the fastest way to loose the calories, fight the battle of the bulge and its fun and the music is great and its in the dark so you don't have to see yourself wiggle and jiggle... I'm all for it. In theory. In practice however...
We teamed up with XYZ and all these fit people turned up.
Good times.
Was in severe pain the following day, on account of... well, I haven't worked out since the 90s.
Pain was temporary, the video is forever.

All the dogs featured in the video and Runway cover shoot were up for adoption - and I believe since then, they all found happy homes.
