Celebrations, Galaxy Macau

Woo hoo! It's here, Celebrations launch at Galaxy Macau today.

Photographer Samantha Sin did 98% of all the shots in the book and its beautiful!

G'bless David Andrew Roden who helped style the entire thing.

Cover shoot and main fashion was amazing thanks to an incredible team; Sam who shot it, Harry Lam who styled, Rennie Fensham who did the hair and makeup. And our cover couple, Amanda G (who is just beyond beautiful!) and Taner S (who I've worked with several times) were both infuriatingly gorgeous.

It was a long, loooong shoot, but the results made it worth the wait. My scanner's not big enough to get the entire spread, but here's a preview of some of it. Grab a copy at Galaxy Macau!

Galaxy 2012

The four amazing ladies and photographers who made incredible covers for Galaxy magazine the past year. Enjoyed working with every single one of them.

This week, we are going into production of the first shoots for 2013 (in fact, we started last Friday!), but the main event is the cover shoot on Thurs. Am chanting for good weather as I type this as the logistics of a cover shoot are a nightmare to coordinate. It takes a village...

Kelly M shot by Jonas L
Melanie Z shot by Olaf M

Kimberly V shot by Jonas L
Cara G shot by Gordon L
Update: Requests for info on outfits! From top to bottom: Michael Kors, Paule Ka, Armani and Jean-Paul Gaultier.

Karen Yiu did most of the hair/makeup, except Cara Grogan's shoot which was by Marian Woo.

Stylists were Tasha Ling, Jolene and Harry Lam.

We did an ad hoc poll among those in the biz and favourite cover was.... Melanie Z shot by Olaf Mueller.

The Joy of Sax: Kenny G

Blast from the past, got to interview Kenny G at China Rouge in Galaxy Macau. Super nice guy and friendly, as expected.  But it was slightly bizarre meeting someone live, in person, who you've normally only seen on TV, from from the 80s!!

Feature in Prestige magazine. And a lengthy one in Galaxy magazine.

Also my first shoot with the super talented photographer Until Chan. Didn't know what he was doing during the making of... but the results were awesome. Hope to book him for every celebrity shoot!

The G Spot
Saxophonist KENNY G, one of the world's most commercially successful musicians, continues to mesmerise his audiences with the joy of sax. P.Ramakrishnan caught up with him at a concert in Macau.
All Portraits: Until Chan.

It's easy to recognise Kenny G. Since he first stated playing on stage (as a backup instrumentalist for the vibrating baritone of Barry White) at the age of 17, those copious curls on his slender frame have made for an instantly recognisable silhouette. This was no less the case when he played to a packed house at China Rouge, Galaxy Macau.

"It's my first time here, though I've been to Macau a few times before," he says, standing back and staring ath teh club's lavish decor. "I like it, it's beautiful. I like how you can actually see the audience." Kenny G is well acquainted with being content. He is a Guinness Record Holder of two titles: his sixth studio album...."

Full feature in Prestige.
